The next episode "Everybody Hates Malvo" will air on the 30th and in it Chris is entrusted with the guard of Doc's register but gets robbed by a local thief. It looks hilarious.

The ratings have dropped off some from last season, but then again the CW hasn't been advertising the show much at all. I suspect that if they decide to stick with it it will pay off. The show is just good. It is a family show and people will catch on. So don't be too worried yet.
Everybody Hates Chris is BACK!

That is right folks, the show is coming back for its season 2 premiere on Sunday October 1st at 7PM! This Sunday (earlier) timeslot will be the new home of the show this season and it will be airing on The CW network (which will be the same channel as your current TheWB channel). The cast will be the same and the writers are the same so you can expect more great storylines and life lessons.

This week we get a great episode. "Everybody Hates Corleone". In this one Chris tries to get expelled from school after his parents deny his request to transfer after he complains of daily butt kickings. Haha. This was a fun episode. Be sure to tune in!

The show did solidly again scoring a 2.5/4 which was enough for #13 on the night. It was the highest rated show on the UPN network for the night, as well as on the WB. This of course is great news.

Dawn Ostroff, the president of the new CW Network has just gone on record saying how "strong" Everybody Hates Chris is, and that she loves the numbers. This essentially LOCKS up a second season the show starting next Fall on the CW. Excellent news!

The cast at the Paley Festival

The cast all got together to screen episodes and answer fan questions at the annual Television and Radio Paley Festival. We have a few members here that were in attendance and noted that Chris Rok was putting on a show. He was putting the crowd into hysterics all night. It was like a stand-up show. Of course there is some big news for the show. The flagging WB and UPN television networks have decided to join forces. This of course means that only the cream of the crop will make it to the new slimmed down schedule. Everybody Hates Chris fans can collectively breath a sigh of relief as the show will almost certainly be present on the CW. Pretty much every major critic has predicted the show will make it, and just this week the CW's new president (UPN's old president) stated her love for the show! So this is good in the long run. The show is going to get a lot more exposure and advertising now. Not to mention a lot of people are "afraid" of watching anything on UPN. Now that won't be a problem.

After the success of Chris, UPN is trying to cobble together some other original programming in the same vein. Most notably a new show about the life of music artist Alicia Keys. I personally think this will bomb, but you never know.

As you know the show is amazing. People and critics alike are loving Everybody Hates Chris. This past month the Writers Guild of America has nominated the show as the best new television series. This is quite an honor considering the fact that other writers are the judges. The other shows nominated include Grey's Anatomy, My Name is Earl, and The Office. Good luck.

In case you have not heard this yet, or didn't realize it when you watched the episode, in the x-mas episode Drew said to his younger sister "Everybody knows there's no Santa Claus". This caused some very serious problems for a lot of families across the nation. UPN got numerous complaints from parents, and rightly so.
